What RiskyProject is
RiskyProject is a project management tool that includes quantitative risk management, and risk analysis methods for computing ongoing estimates of project durations and costs. It is made by the Intaver Institute and used by planners in engineering, construction and defense.
What the tool does now
The current release is RiskyProject 8: version 8.0 on 4 March 2026, and 8.0.5, a minor update, on 15 June 2026. It comes in three editions. Lite is the entry-level edition, with basic quantitative risk analysis; Professional carries the full risk management and quantitative analysis; Enterprise adds portfolio risk management across an organization. The quantitative analysis covers schedule and cost, with sensitivity analysis and risk ranking. The risk register holds threats, opportunities, issues and lessons learned. Schedules can be built in the tool or imported from Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6 and other scheduling applications. For a project in progress, every edition forecasts the duration of incomplete tasks from actual performance; Professional and Enterprise also have tracking views.
The latest versions of RiskyProject use my Bayesian parameter learning algorithm for project control. Intaver introduced it in version 8, forecasting the duration of a partially completed project from the original estimates and current performance, and sells it as an add-on, a special edition of RiskyProject Professional.
